Lake Logan Race Weekend

Published by Bethany on

I had originally planned to do the half aquabike as a workout while cheering on friends and athletes throughout the weekend. Alas, I had the opportunity to help out though when a good friend had a complete battery fail the morning of the race! No problem, I can workout without being in a race surely! We had the very helpful mechanic take out my Di2 battery and duct tape it to the outside of her bike and it worked! Big day cheering on racers some first timers too and all did great!

The organizers at setup were kind enough to allow me to jump into the Oly relay instead without penalty the next day where I raced with Michelle’s husband Ed wearing Carries shirt. If I post these photos she might have to fight a bunch of ladies off!

For the cheering portion, Carrie and I dressed up as Coke and Diet Coke

Scouting is serious business! Waiting with bated breath for Sondra to finish the super tough half bike (which she did no problem!)

Narrowly eked out first to a hard charging Adam and Krystle just behind. None of the four of us were planning on racing a relay so the 11th hour preparation was comedy.
